For my first decade in the cultural world, I only produced articles - for publications including New York Magazine, Wired, Metropolis, The Art Newspaper, ARTnews, Art+Auction, Monopol, Neue Zürcher Zeitung, and ArtReview. That writing basically stopped when I worked for Art Basel, but during my 15 years there I did many speeches, panels and podcasts, including two seasons hosting 'Intersections,' the Art Basel podcast. After leaving Art Basel, I started writing again more actively, most prominently as the Arts Radar columnist for Business of Fashion in 2025 and more recently a widely-debated Opinion piece for the New York Times. There’s a lot here, but you can use the filters and sort mechanisms to find what you're looking for. Or just dip into ‘Marc’s Favorites.’
